Paranormal Activity Blu-ray/DVD Arts & Specs

boo!Do you know what happens when you sleep? Fresh from its Australian theatrical run where it grossed more than any other horror movie in 2009 and went on to become the second most successful horror movie in Australian box office history, the $15,000 juggernaut Paranormal Activity will no doubt see its profits multiply further when it is released on Blu-ray and DVD from April 2 through Icon Home Entertainment.

After moving into a suburban home a young, middle class couple (Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat) become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, and is most active in the middle of the night - especially when they sleep. As the weeks progress, the unexplainable presence becomes more malevolent…

In a twist even creepier than its premise the Australian Paranormal Activity release will contain more extras than its US counterpart. Both the DVD and Blu-ray releases will include 2 versions of the feature (Theatrical and Alternate); an alternate ending; audio commentary from writer/director Oren Peli (not featured on the US release); and "Paranormal Activity Fans" featurette. The DVD will be presented in an anamorphic 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 sound while high definition converts can expect a 1080p 1.85:1 presentation with DTS-HD master audio.

Good to know we're getting a superior release of this, compared to other countries. Bit of a turn up for the books.
