Fans of CGI might not be impressed by our second behind-the-scenes look at The Dark Lurking as it shows the filmmakers demonstrating a flagrant disregard for computer technology in favour of old school creature and gore effects on set.
In Advanced Research, the four and a half minute clip below, producer Stuart Wall gives us a look at the work of Sharp FX, who handled much of The Dark Lurking's special effects, and talks about why the filmmakers opted to go with rubbery, gooey prosthetics instead of CGI.
In other TDL news tickets are now on sale for the Australian theatrical screenings and can be purchased from www.thedarklurkingmovie.com. The movie will play at the Gold Coast's Pacific Fair cinemas from April 9-14 and Brisbane's Palance Centro cinemas from April 9-11 before heading down to Victoria where it will screen at Hoyts Melbourne Central from April 15-21 followed by Hoyts Moore Park in Sydney from June 18-23 and Freemantle's Hoyts Millenium Collie Street cinemas from June 24-30.
