Anchor Bay Entertainment have announced the release of Laid to Rest, which will be arriving locally as a rental exclusive disc on September 9.

The film, which is the the second feature by makeup FX artist turned Director Robert Hall and stars Bobbi Sue Luther, Lena Headey, Kevin Gage, Thomas Dekker, and Johnathan Schaech, tells of a young woman who wakes up inside a coffin with no memory, and to make matters worse she soon finds herself being pursued by ChromeSkull - a mask wearing maniac that comes complete with a shoulder-mounted video camera and a rather nasty urge to kill!

As well as a 16:9 transfer and 5.1 sound Anchor Bay's disc will feature an audio commentary, Making of, 'The SFX of Laid to Rest' Featurette, Deleted Scenes, and Bloopers.

Check out the cover art and trailer below.

"Why does anchor bay only release rental stuff though?"

Only to begin with. They all become available to purchase later. Besides that, you can buy it online if you can't wait.
